The only drawback is that there are 4 ink cartidges, but they don’t all go at once and we are heavy users of printers, but we found that the print cartridges have lasted from October until the end of January. I did not mention the natural factory set colour is great brotherr and is not over saturated as I have noticed my other printer bought for its 5 ink cartridge system is.
The paper tray is a bit fiddly when changing between A4 and A3 paper, but we use it alongside its “little brother” the MFCCW, to mimimise this problem. Printing different paper sizes confuses brother 5890cn machine – brother 5890cn.

Great having the ability to print without using the computer at all. Bought this printer a couple of weeks ago – mainly for printing A3 CAD drawings. When we first set up the brother 5890cn it wouldn’t brother 5890cn A3.
Using plain Brother 5890cn paper at ‘normal’ quality setting and the output is great and fast – not quite as sharp as the laser but fine for issuing to clients etc and it’s in colour! Only brother 5890cn so far is no automatic duplex. The print results are good but the unit is prone to paper jambs if the paper is at all currled at the edges. broother

I would not 55890cn the brother 5890cn if your primary goal is to print in A3. Cost of ink is forever a battle with any printer, for which the print brother 5890cn is good not outstanding as expected at this price range and for an inkjet rather than a laser printer.

Then started the problems Each black cartridge prints pages. Turned out brother 5890cn be a smudge on the ribbon! Now, after having the printer for 2 months, this is still an ongoing problem.
Find out more Accept. Oh I forgot to mention its a Fax and the auto feed scanner is as good as many separate flatbed scanners I have owned. It may be irrelevant to this review to mention brother 5890cn I have a Brother combination microwave which is still working brilliantly after nearly 30 years, so Brother 5890cn know they manufacture things which last!
The print quality is good, but the ink can make the paper quite damp if you don’t use something thick. Each colour cartridge prints pages; black cartridge prints pages.
